I, Derek, am an engineer who loves ice cream, smoked meats, and Arsenal (futbol/soccer team). I grew up in a small midwest town before moving to the big city for school and work. After a short stint in Texas, I moved with my wife the Cleveland, OH area in 2019.

My wife, Mary, is the yin to my yang. She relishes family time, real talk, and macaroons. She’s lived in Cleveland for the majority of her life, outside joining me in Texas for a few years. Her thoughtfulness and desire for quality perfectly balance my spontaneous and impulsive nature.

I technically haven’t read the book yet, just listened to dozens of hours of interviews with him on podcasts and YouTube.

My wife introduced me to this podcast and it really started us along our own journey towards financial wellness.

Briand Feroldi (update HL)

Brian is a member of the motley fool, a stock picking service. While not a member myself, I’ve found his work to be thought provoking and insightful. I highly recommend his daily insights, which you can find here.
